Description Of This Tour
Join local history buff and cycling enthusiast Craig Henderson on a tour that shuttles you and your bike to Chute Lake, from where you’ll enjoy a gentle descent along the scenic Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) Trail back to Penticton while stopping at heritage relics such as the Adra Tunnel and the rock ovens. The group will be supported by a sag wagon, offering assistance when needed, and a cooler to store your bagged lunch. Please note: While the trail is wide and gently descending for the most part, there are sand patches that can hinder steering. Confidence on a bicycle is recommended, as well as tires that have a good grip. About 10 km. will be on paved roads. Bikes should be in good working order, although the support vehicle will carry spare bikes in case of break-down.
