Tour 1 – Wildflowers and Wildlife of Twin Lakes

Join wildflower photographer and former biology teacher Harold Baumbrough along with local biologist Lisa Scott for a hike on the Twin Lakes Conservation Lands owned by The Nature Trust of British Columbia. Walk around the lakeshore and explore the unique transition from water-loving plants to dry grassland slopes. View an abundance of Shootingstars, Chocolate Lilies, Blue Clematis, and the rare Showy Phlox. Watch for a variety of raptors and songbirds, as you learn about the role of wildfire, the importance of wildlife trees and the invasive plants that pose a threat to this beautiful habitat.
