MNF Waiver: Every person must sign this waiver here
Join Hoodoo Adventures and local naturalist Lyse Deselliers on an easy-going kayak to experience beautiful South Okanagan views and rich biodiversity. In this special bilingual tour, all information will be shared in both French and English. Departing from the small community of Kaleden, you’ll head north and explore the quiet shoreline of picturesque Skaha Lake towards a last remaining, intact wetland, the conserved Sickle Point. Learn about the ecology of Skaha and Okanagan Lakes and the wildlife who depend on them while enjoying a fun paddle. You may see a variety of waterfowl and songbirds, as well as a raptor or two. Suitable for ages 13 and up.
This is a beginner-level trip, no prior kayaking knowledge is required, however good physical fitness and stamina is required for this approximately 4 km, 2 hour paddle. Kayaks will be provided.
Lyse Deselliers is a retired veterinarian turned professional artist and amateur naturalist. She enjoys birding and learning about the rich local ecosystems which she then renders in her work as an artist.
