Description Of This Tour
Join Lee McFadyen to walk the Bluebird Trail at the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery on Road 22 overlooking the Black Sage bench. Enjoy spectacular valley views and watch for birds of prey while we visit nest boxes which may be inhabited by bluebirds, tree swallows, chickadees, house wrens, nuthatches or violet green swallows. A peep into the boxes may find parent birds, eggs, or baby birds at various developmental stages. End the day in the tasting room where a fee of $5 per person is charged for wine tasting. All fees collected in the Wine Shop are then donated by the company to the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of British Columbia (BOCS of BC).
