Join En’owkin Centre ECOmmunity Program Director, conservation ecologist, nature photographer and author A. Michael Bezener for this rare opportunity to bird at dawn at the k’əmcnitkw / ECOmmunity Place Locatee Lands in Penticton. This special area encompasses a complex mosaic of riparian, wetland and grassland habitats found nowhere else in the Penticton area, and is home to many colourful bird species, including several rare and Endangered species. You will see and hear a wide range of migrant and resident birds that inhabit the site including Yellow-breasted Chat, Western Screech-Owl, Calliope Hummingbird, Lazuli Bunting, Western Tanager and Yellow Warbler. Portable washrooms will be on site.
