Description Of This Tour

Oliver Mountain, forms a scenic backdrop to the town of Oliver. The mountain is home to a variety of wildlife and acts a critical refuge for a host of species at risk. Retaining some of the largest tracts of the endangered Antelope Brush ecosystem left remaining in the Okanagan valley, the mountain is a biological gem. Join Keith Baric, Planner with the Ministry of Environment, on a tour of Oliver Mountain to explore its unique features and to hear about some of the management issues the mountain faces. This is a strenuous hike meant for physically fit people.
