Description Of This Tour
Join Anona Kampe, Penticton Indian Band member in the Okanagan Nation, as she shares the traditional story, called captikʷɬ in her language, of Owl Woman and Chipmunk. This is a story where we meet the Meadowlark. On the short walk to a beautiful view point over looking beautiful valley views, participants will learn about local plants, harvesting practices, animals and landforms. Anona will share the Okanagan language called nsyilxcn and translations in English. Dress for the weather and bring something to sit on while listening to the story (a small blanket or lawn chair).
