Tour 12 – Pictographs on East Side Road

Description Of This Tour

Join Anona Kampe, Penticton Indian Band member in the Okanagan Nation, for a hike up the mountain off of Eastside Road between Penticton and Okanagan Falls.  Participants will learn about local plants, harvesting practices, animals and landforms. Anona will share the Okanagan language called nsyilxcn and translations in English. At the top, we will see a pictograph site and Anona will share more about the beauty of Okanagan culture.  Bring something to sit on while listening to a story (a small blanket or towel).

Tour Leader: Anona Kampe
