Tour 01 – Riparian Songbird Research Experience

Tickets are now closed for this event.

Description Of This Tour

Join En’owkin Centre conservation/TEK staff and Environment and Climate Change Canada researchers at the ECOmmunity Place Locatee Lands in Penticton in a rare opportunity to participate in breeding bird research focused on Gray Catbirds, Calliope Hummingbirds and Endangered Yellow-breasted Chats. This is your chance to learn what’s involved in banding territorial birds, identifying individual colour-banded birds, mapping songbird territories, and tracking migratory songbirds to their wintering grounds. Portable washrooms on site. Photo by A. Michael Bezener.
