Description Of This Tour

This wonderful tour of Tinhorn Creek Winery and the surrounding area starts with a discussion of Tinhorn’s stewardship practices by owner Ken Oldfield. Then Oliver Museum and Archives Executive Director and certified wildlife rehabilitator Manda Maggs will lead you to explore the Stamp Mill trail behind Tinhorn Winery. Learn about the mining history and people of Fairview, as well as developments in economics and culture of the South Okanagan during that era. Manda will also touch on the changing landscape of Oliver and its natural history and biodiversity. Following the hike, savour the beautiful valley vista from Tinhorn’s outdoor amphitheatre while enjoying a glass of Tinhorn Creek wine along with a boxed lunch prepared by Miradoro Executive Chef Jeff van Geest.
