This is a unique opportunity to join Dick Cannings, noted author, birder and now South Okanagan-West Kootenay MP, for a guided birding tour of the South Okanagan. You will visit some of the best Okanagan birding areas and expect to see over 100 species! A picnic lunch will be provided as part of this annual fundraising event for Okanagan Similkameen Conservation Alliance (OSCA) programs. Price includes bus tour and lunch. Dick Cannings was born and raised in Penticton in a family that loved nature and the outdoors. He was a biologist at the University of British Columbia for 17 years then moved back to the Okanagan in 1995 to work as a consulting biologist and writer. In 2015 he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the riding of South Okanagan-West Kootenay, retiring in 2025.
