Join South Okanagan Naturalists Club President Alex Bodden and NatureKids South Okanagan leader Maggie Chow for a fun and engaging nature and birding tour of the Okanagan lakefront of Penticton. You would be surprised at how many different bird, plant and animal species share some of our most familiar city hangouts. You will be guided on an 1-2 kilometre walk through different habitats, on level, easy-going paths, with many stops along the way to learn about the interesting and unique flora and fauna of the area. We’ll reconvene indoors to take part in a hands-on community art project to celebrate our connection with nature.

Bring your love for the outdoors, your 5 senses, your curiosity and your creativity. Binoculars are also a great tool (BYO, or borrow at “birding backpack” for free from the Penticton Public library). Suitable for all ages.
