Join naturalist John Henry for a multiple stop drive along the Ashnola River as he invites you to learn about the wonderful world of Cathedral Park. While visiting significant trail head areas, he will discuss the rich natural history and geology of the park and the various plants, animals, and mushrooms that call the area home. You will also learn about the impacts of recent forest fires that have affected this spectacular wilderness area.
Please note this is not a back country hike, walking will be minimal. The road is unpaved, so carpooling in higher clearance vehicles may be necessary.
John Henry is a seasoned outdoorsman who has explored Cathedral Park for decades. After working there for twelve years he became intimately acquainted with all its nooks and crannies.
