Join Bev Krieger on a vigorous hike to the lookout at Guy’s Cache. It is a 3-hour hike with some steep sections and a short section with some exposure. There are many beautiful spring flowers (larkspur, bitter root, lupines) and interesting birds (meadowlarks, bluebirds). At the top there are excellent views of Mt Parker, Sheeprock and Apex, and Mahoney Lake. Hikers should bring warm clothes in case the weather changes. Good hiking boots are essential, and poles are useful. This is a strenuous hike. Good physical condition, good footwear, hats and water are essential. Suitable for ages 12 and up.

Bev has been a hike leader with the Penticton Outdoors Club for many years.  As a Master Gardener and retired teacher she has a passion for educating people about plants and their environments.  She enjoys volunteering at the Summerland Ornamental Gardens where she leads the School Outdoor Education programs.
